About Us

Cowandilla Primary School has approximately 450 students. We are located in the western suburbs of Adelaide, in the West Torrens Council area. The Children’s Centre, with its Preschool, and the school are fully integrated.

We are a Climate Change Specialist School with an active environmental student leader group.

Our Classes

In 2024 we have 18 classes, plus a Preschool.

Our school includes an Intensive English Language Centre (IELC). This year we have 5 IELC classes, catering for New Arrivals students from Reception to Year 6.

Children's Centre

Cowandilla Children’s Centre offers a range of services for local families and children from birth to 8 years old. Some of the services offered include: Preschool, Occasional Care, Playgroups, Family support services and programs, Allied Health program, and Craft Groups. Other services provided on site: Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS), Immunisation Clinics, Antenatal Service, Child Mental Health Service.

Out of School Hours Care

The Cowandilla OSHC service operates Before School Care from 6:45am–8:45am and After School Care from 3:15pm–6:00pm. Vacation Care is open during the school holidays except for the 2 weeks around Christmas. Vacation care programs are made available before each holidays on the school Facebook page, and from the Front Office.
